I respect Perez, I like his style BUT he seems to have lost that killer instinct after the Mago fight. Maybe I am making assumptions but I didn't see that fire / will that he had during the Mago fight.

He went from one of the most determined heavyweights I have ever seen to an unmotivated dude who looked like he was forced to be in the ring, and his output was cut in half too all this in the span of 1 fight, so that could be true.

If it stays true then he should probably do something else with his life he doesn't have any great defense, and will just keep taking punishment if he is not throwing punches that will keep guys at bay.

Completely agree. I was impressed by not only his performance against Mago but his skillset. A tough HW who was hard to slow down / keep away with good fundamentals.

The bolded part couldn't be more true, that is the perfect way to describe it.

I also agree with your opinion on his career. If the hunger is not there anymore, it would be pointless for him to stay in such a dangerous sport. I can't blame him either if this change was caused by the Mago fight, I bet it is hard for a fighter to digest putting his opponent in the position he put Mago. (And of course he didn't do it on purpose but he can feel that well it was him who is responsible). Abel talked about the hard time Perez had after the fight but said he had a good talk with him and supposedly got him back on track but I doubt it.
