What do people think of Kell Brook's performance last night?

In my opinion he toyed with Robles. Played around with him and never really got out of 1st gear -

He took too many punches, but rolled with them well and showed he could take a few punches without getting too rattled our wound up.

    What's the general opinion?

Is he ready for a Shawn Porter?

I don't think we are really going to be able to tell with Brook until he gets in there with a world level guy.

He can look great and terrible on the same night, will he step up a gear under the big lights or will he be another kevin mitchell, time will tell.

He kind of fights to the level of his opponent a little bit, do you know what I mean?

He should have put it on him in the 4th and 5th rounds, but just seemed as if he wanted to take it some rounds and box a little bit - which is fine, but the guy clearly wasn't on his level and was just getting beaten up.

One thing is true though, he's got true welterweight power. all of his punches seem to be really hurtful.

I thought he looked pretty average to be honest.

Its frustrating me that he still leaves his chin up to dry fight after fight, I'm still waiting for these 'amazing' reflexes Jim Watt keeps talking about.

The plus points are all things we know about, his jab was solid and he had great offensive arsenal (though he could have gone to the body more).

I still think he needs to improve in the gym if he's going to beat the b-level guys out there like Alexander or Porter.

I think he's showed some good reflexes in the past, but he's not incredibly quick with his defense.

Yesterday, it seemed like he just threw his defense out the window, which he shouldn't do when he's preparing for a top fighter like Porter.

He'll beat Porter/Malignaggi. This was an unmotivated fight. Imagine the Brook that turns up when his career ambition is in his grasp.

Only Pac and May beat Brook at 147.

yeah i actually think his power is underrated. It's one of the reasons i favour him over khan if they were ever to meet, I think he'd hurt khan quite easily

I think he would beat paulie. I don't know enough about porter to comment, but I do think brook would be a handful for an WW not named floyd or PAC.

                    that obviously wouldn't happen.
