Jhonny Gonzalez's promoter was approached about Gary Russel Jr too. But they didn't want any of that for some reason.

Probably the same reason Gary Russell didn't want to fight PDL.

I think an Evgeny Gradovich fight is a better option for Jorge Arce. It's more winnable for Arce and I don't think Gradovich would mind the opportunity to add Arce's name to his resume. Arce vs. Gradovich would be a good, fairly cheap cofeature for Marquez vs. Alvarado.
