He is a overrated punching bag. He LOST his fight to lara why would people think he was gonna be something other than a sparring match for Canelo. Promoter did his job here. No way was Angulo gonna win this fight. But don't insult the man and say he took a dive. He got his ass beat for 8 rounds that is not a dive in the making its a mismatch in talent.

Duh. Only his idiot trainer was saying ****** **** like look what he did to lara. He lost the ****ing fight and got his eye swole that's what he did. Look what he did against kirkland. I like angulos heart. But someone like canelo kirkland lara will destroy him every time. They move they can punch and they all can box. Angulo doesn't move his head. He's an easy target.

When I first watched the fight, I was drunk, half asleep and it was a free ******, so I couldn't tell so much.

But re-watching on TV, the first few rounds Angulo's punches looked weak as hell. I mean he was throwing very lightly.

I think he was just weight drained and was trying to conserve as much energy as he could. He began throwing harder later on.

Weeks is an amazing ref. One of my favorites actually. But he stopped this one half round to a round too early. Let the round end, if Perro is still getting the choke leash treatment, than stop it between rounds. Don't stop it after one uppercut, like we haven't seen Angulo get hit with worse before.

As a fan of boxing I hate to believe that this fight was thrown. Didn't see the PPV but watched it yesterday carefully after all the talk and accusations.
The ring entrance looked shady true.
Angulo was throwing these arm punches like he was tapping Canelo and Canelo was throwing with hurtful intent...but one thing that really made me think was when Angulo threw a jab to Canelos body, Canelo blocked and in the same motion threw an uppercut at Angulo. All in one motion, as if he had no fear of being hit or countered.

Either Canelo was in a serious zone or something was up. Sucks for boxing if this true.

So you think 1 million is worth more to Angulo than he would have gained if he had beaten Canelo? If he had won he would have been a front runner to face Floyd in September and other big fights. Hell if he had lost but the fight had been entertaining then he still would have had some paydays. With the way he lost he will have to take some serious paycuts to build himself back up. You think 1 million is worth all that? Or do you think GBP paid more than that? What sense would that make, there were easier opponents they could have selected and its not like they expected this PPV to sell 1 million or anything.
None of the conspiracy theorist have yet to answer that question. What would Golden Boy have had to pay Angulo vs what he would have gained by winning.

I don't think Angulo was paid but for me is true he was chosen to help Canelo to look better than he reallys as usual. We Lara's fans said that was not a logical decision to choose Angulo instead of Lara when Angulo just lost. If you want the best fight you choose the winner Lara instead of a looser. This brought a lot of discussion in this forum but here are the results. A poor quality fight, whith a lot of doubts and only Canelo's fan think it was a legitimate win. For me was a joke and agains means that Canelo is a protected fighter who is always taking the easiest path among the opportunities he has. This is a manipulation and I hope he need to begin making real fights with more risk.(The Mayweather fight doesn't count in my judgement because nobody cares to loose against Mayweather)

reasoning and logic wont work here because what people here are trying to do is simply discredit Canelo because they don't like him.
They are never going to let a little thing like common sense get in the way of their argument.

Like I said when Canelo fights Lara and Knocks him out, people here will say one of two things.
Either Lara was bought and paid off,
or Lara was never that good.

The doctor warned hunter the previous round and tony weeks twice before that if angulo kept getting battered the way he was and not throwing back that the fight needed to get stop. Even Virgil said he would stop it himself if Angulo got hit with a 3 punch combo. No controversy here. Angulo was taking a beating. It was a good stoppage. Angulo wasn't coming on like he said. That's bs.
