remember one thing, some of our fighters are not greedy and will have to go through british fighters european fighters then if good enough will go on to fight the elite BUT, there has been a couple of complete bums who tried running before they could walk and im ashamed to say they are from here in the u.k.
however, the americans and everybody else has them too.
everybody gotta start somewhere and if that fighter didnt think he was ready to fight for a title....whats wrong with that? that has everything good about it doesnt it? i mean, why run before you can walk? whos to say that after 10 fights that a fighter earns a title shot? one other point i would like to make here if it matters at all, an awful lot of "bums of the week" our boys have faced have been americans.
many americans have come here and been battered senseless where as more of our hopefuls have gone there and won on many occasion over the years.
look what lloyd honeygan did to don curry? the most feared WW on the planet!!
nigel benn did to iran barkley/doug dewitt? naseem hamed did to johnson over here? or kevin kelly over there? hmm...etc...etc....
I agree back in the days of honeygan, benn, prince nas, lennox lewis etc these guys were giving it all or nothing and didn't even think they could lose but today I don't see that talent and raw passion, these guys today khan, brook, burns etc get very hyped and avoid their true rivals out of fear of losses. It's just something about their mentality which seems weak to me, They don't seem anything like the fighters of those years. But true it's not only them, these types of soft touch cherrypickers are found worldwide
