Amir Khan has given the biggest hint yet that he will return to the ring in May after suggesting he would like to fight on Floyd Mayweather's undercard.

Pound-for-pound king Mayweather faces Marcos Maidana in a welterweight unification fight in Las Vegas on May 3, which Khan believed he was in line for.

The Bolton fighter even turned down a bout with Devon Alexander before Christmas, opting instead to sign a contract to face Mayweather but that fight never materialised.
