What's the benefit of open scoring?

Seriously.... I've heard that if we see what the scores are early, it'll deter the judges from making bad decisions... but has that ever really happened?

What is the benefit of open scoring other than letting us know ahead of time what's coming?

Causing the fighters to change the pace/style, but that doesn't seem to matter either.

So we can see the robbery coming w/o any surprise at the end of the fight.

which makes it easy for them to justify corrupt scoring

I guess.... won't have to bother scoring after a certain point.

There is none, it just kills suspense. The fight is going to get scored that way it is scored knowing changes nothing.

I don't even score fights anymore anyway unless I need to and it is a really controversial fight, it keeps me out of a lot of pointless arguments.

Huge benefit for the fighters. If after 4 rounds a fighter thinks he is up in the fight, but the judges have the fight scored differently, he knows he needs to make adjustments for the remainder of the fight.

It changes how a fighter approaches the second and third set of 4-rounds based on how the fight is scored up to that point, and allows him to adjust his strategy if he knows he is down on the cards.

In the past before they had it I thought it was going to help. It really doesn't, there is no way that fight should had been scored so wide in some of those cards
