At the beginning of the night I was telling my friends there was no way Hererra was gonna get a decision in PR but I didn't expect Hererra to fight as well as he did.
Hererra outboxeed Danny and hurt him a couple times. The few combos Danny threw, it was shown in replays that very few of them landed.
Hererra was controlling the fight and outboxing Danny fairly easily and frustrated him.
I like Danny but Hererra got screwed tonight.Comment

Exactly this is exactly almost what Floyd does every fight jab to the body counter over hand right, not with as much activity as Hererra and it seems to win him fights.
Damn shame Hererra fought one of the best fights of his career and had it taken away from him, but being that the fight was in PR im not shocked. I was shocked 2 judges had Danny winning by 4 ptsComment

Just finished watching it and yep Herrera won this 8-4, lmao @ the power punches landed by Garcia dude didn't even land much Herrera was slipping almost everything. But everyone knows if you fight in PR you need to KO the PR fighter.Comment

After 4, one judge had Garcia up 4-0 after the first 4 ----->>> bull****
After 8 it was:
77-75 Garcia ---- Let's say I buy this
77-75 Herrera ---- Decent
78-74 Garcia ----- No way in hell
The final scores were:
116-112 Garcia
116-112 Garcia
114-114 Draw
The judge that scored it a draw had to be the same one that had Herrera ahead after 8. That means he gave Garcia 3 out of the last 4 rounds.
That means the other two had the 116-112 cards. The guy that had 77-75 Garcia also had to give Garcia 3 of the final 4 rounds.
The judge that had Garcia up 4-0 gave Garcia 2 of the last 4 probably to make his card look more respectable.
Look at the final 4 rounds. Rounds 9 and 12 were CLEAR INDISPUTABLE Herrera rounds. You know boxing so I know you agree with that. Well, 2 of the judges gave at least one these clear rounds to Garcia.
The scorecards were fishy no matter who you felt won or didn't win.Comment

SO while you could make a case for draw or Garcia (even at 8-4 which would be giving Garcia all the close rounds but if you prefer his work that is possible and that is only 2 rounds off a draw) the route there is tough to explain.
I do think it was close though with a lot of close rounds plus boxing scoring is very deceptive.Comment

lol It amazes me how so many guys seem to think the rules of boxing are so damn flexible, like it's okay to score based on what you prefer. Does a runner in baseball get called "safe" if he comes close to beating the throw? Does a team in football get a first down because they tried "really, really" hard? I learned today that practically everything is wrong with this sport.Comment
