Comments Thread For: Vazquez Tabs Ponce De Leon To KO Juanma in Four

Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. is tabbing Daniel Ponce De Leon to knock Juan Manuel Lopez out in four rounds later tonight in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Several years ago, Juanma became a player when he knocked out Ponce De Leon in the first round for the WBO super bantamweight crown. The rematch is taking place at super featherweight.

Vazquez and Juanma are no strangers to trading words. The two Puerto Rico boxers are far from friends. Promoter Peter Rivera of PR Best Boxing mentioned a date of August 25th for a possible fight between Juanma and Vazquez, but Vazquez denies that information.

It is sad to see Juanma come from a legit superstar to a human punching bag. It still doesn't make sense to me how he fell off.

      I don't think it'll be in 4 but he's getting T/KOed.

It doesn't make sense? First of all, he was always not that good. But it took the Mtagwa fight for people to see the light.

He was good. He was a very discipline fighter and very skillfully. I didn't need to use the Mtagwa fight as a example. It was since the Penalosa fight. He just fell in love with his power and threw his pedigree out of the window. If you followed JML like I and many other people did you would know this.

Met Juanma at the Pac Bradley fight. Gave him words of support. Win or lose, you were an amazing entertainer, boxer and fighter. Not the most skilled, but very willing. Going with Ponce in this one, but farewell to Lopez if he goes down. No fighter deserves the disrespect many spew on here. Saludos hermano

he just never had the chin,it's not surprising,in that first fight he caught ponce, but I really think if ponce would have gone to the later rounds he would have shown that juanmas chin wasn't that good,we would have seen that before matagwa showed us,if you don't have a chin you need good defense and be a good boxer, otherwise you'll end up like juanma, yeah he'll win but as long it's with guys who have no power, and I don't even know about ponce at 130,if ponce wins I would like to see Vazquez jr fight him,i've always thought he was a pretty good fighter

I've seen earlier fights of juanma and I've never seen this "boxing" that people say,he looks the same to me in every fight,it's just that it took a certain fighter to beat him,a fighter with power and a chin who would take his punches and punch back, not be afraid

Wow, Vazquez really nailed that one, LOL!! Please, we need to stop quoting Boxers predictions in the media. They hardly get predictions right.
