Will Floyd Mayweather Fake A Knockdown Against Maidana?

Floyd is fighting the easy opponent Maidana and publicly ducked the more difficult Khan fight but if he pretends to get knocked down in the match up...

1... it makes Broner's performance look a little less embarrassing losing to a B level opponent. It would put into people's minds that perhaps Broner wasn't so bad afterall. Basically, it could help save Broner's career from both an historical and a marketing perspective.

    2. Because the fight is generally considered to be a total mismatch, if Floyd pretends to get knocked down it would then instantly justify the fight. Most people currently believe Maidana should be one of Floyd's easiest opponents to date.

    3. And lastly, it would implant into people's minds that perhaps Floyd is starting to slip and so it would take away from his invulnerability factor, meaning he could then fight lesser opponents (like Maidana) for his last few fights without coming under too much criticism.

Do you know who Mayweather is? This dude would rather die than faking a knockdown...also he dont give a flying s how embarassing Broner looked against Maidana...ând how would a knockdown justify the fight? WTF? Rigo also got dropped against Donaire but still schooled him for 12 rounds...a KD dont justify *****...also by your logic...why Mayweather didnt fake a KD against Guerrero or Canelo? Those were mismatches too and people knew it (besides mexicans & May haters)

          Haters gonna hate......

At least Maidana is in form and deserves it. Khan not so much. I honestly feel Floyd would LOVE to fight Amir as he sees it as a big reward for a low risk and also the chance for him to secure a rare KO in these later years of his career.....Buuuuuuuuuuuuuut Amir can barely string two half decent wins together to warrant it

For me in regards to Money, he needs to fight Pac or step up to MW in these final fights, I think he will too

I stopped at "Publicy ducked more difficult fight with Khan" but Im responding to the title. No he wouldnt "fake" a knockdown especially given the outraegous scorecards of his last two fights. If Mayweather went down it would be because Chino planted him on his ass, and he doesnt care about Broner.. after he tried giving the kid advice and he blew it off Im pretty sure hes on his own now since you know, he "got this"

Doubt it. Floyd has too much pride in his defense and record to pull off such a thing.

I do see Floyd believing he can counter Maidana at will and try hard to pursue a KO just to make it that much more impressive in comparison to Broner's fight. Hopefully, it's in one of those instances that Maidana throws something wild and catches Floyd.
