Will Mayweather Jr. put Maidana to sleep?

Will Floyd put Marcos to sleep? It could be possible for the WBA welterweight champion Marcos Maidana (W35-L3-D0) to don´t have the tools to defeat the current WBA – WBC light middleweight and WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (W45-L0-D0), “Chino” might not have the timing, footwork, speed nor ring smarts to cope with the master of defensive style; He does has power but not as Miguel Cotto or Saul Alvarez. Maidana does have the hunger and heart of a lion but against Floyd that doesn’t work. Mayweather Jr. has enough power to hurt his opponents although he prefers to slowly pick them apart by outpunching them at will; in his fight against Saul Alvarez you can see how Floyd let the young lion survive the last rounds but Maidana might not be that lucky. The best chance for Maidana is to pressure the fight while been smart, not just charge but to be ready for Floyd´s counter attack; Marcos must hit him on his arms and shoulders and not try to knock him out with a single punch, he better try to wear him down and better prepare himself to run a marathon just like Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. did when he stopped Meldrick Taylor in the twelve round.

“Money” has had hand injuries and that might cause lack of interest to try to finish off his opponents, but Marcos Maidana might have inspired Floyd to utterly defeat him after seen him badly beat up his friend Adrien Broner.

Floyd will take Marcos´s balance off with his head movement and shoulder roll defense and then counter with hard rights until Maidana hesitate to charge. Then he will mix his attack to the body and head with uppercuts, hooks and lead right hands. I doubt an upset is possible but I have been wrong many times in the past. What I believe is that Floyd will win by late knockout, but what about the reader; do you think that Floyd will put Maidana to sleep?

No way Mayweather finishes off Maidana. If that happens Maidana should step down and retire because he'll pretty much be done as a serious contender.

If he focus on hurting Maidana to body from the get-go, then he can win by TKO.

Not a chance. Floyd will play it safe, stay on the outside and UD Chino a la Guerrero last year.

Its up to Marcos really. If he is relentless and keeps pushing the pace I can see him getting stopped. Broner was able to get his attention and hurt him late so I wouldn't be surprised if a quick counter he doesn't see starts the beginning of the end.

We hear this shet every Floyd fight, so many were adamant that Canelo would get KO'd. He has a chance if it's a body punch.
