Comments Thread For: Danny Garcia Takes His Career To The Next Level

By Jake Donovan - If you are a fighter in or near the welterweight division, then every fight is basically an audition.

Fighters in that general weight range who are with Top Rank or a promoter with whom they regularly do business, then Manny Pacquiao is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Those at or near 147 lb. and aligned with Golden Boy Promotions and/or Al Haymon are standing in line in hopes of a multi-million dollar showdown with pound-for-pound and box office king Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Danny Garcia was in the perfect position to demand to move to the front of the line for that sweepstakes following his win over Lucas Matthysse last September. The win came in chief support to Mayweather’s victory over Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez atop the most lucrative boxing event in history. It also silenced a lot of critics who insisted that the unbeaten Garcia was a protected fighter who didn’t mean it when he said he wants the very best. [Click Here To Read More]

Swift is only 26? He's got a lot of prime years ahead of him.

Fighting Herrera is no where near taking it to the next level in reality it's taking it to a lower level and the weight class is still 140 not 147 so where is this next level if it isn't the weight or the competition.

Danny should fight Floyd on september because it seems Khan's turned on the ducking mode on Guerrero bout.

Amir is a joke. Screw him.

              Totally agree.

It should have been rematch with Mathysse vice.

The first shit was extremely close. Without a bogus KD it's been a draw or even split decision for Mathysse cuz he was taking that round away and got minus 3 points as a result.
10:8 loss instead of 10:9 victory.

Dude said he wanna Matthysse KO Swift........as if that mother****er didn't maneuver Swift to the ropes and land not one but TWO flush right hands in the first round.....as if dude didn't send Swift's mouthpiece for a tour of the MGM....and not one time did he fall.....so what makes you think he can KO Swift?!? lol

The next level is turning the champ into a BRAND...duh!!!...**** Herrera, he's just food....nothing more!!...just like the last dude....another chin to tap....another book to read.....that's all!!....this is the young boy that insiders THINK can roll one over on Floyd at the RIGHT TIME.....let him work!!!
