Good article. I think same day weigh ins are the way to go.
If you want to cut crazy weight on the day of a fight then that's on you, maybe some would be injured by trying it but at least it was their own choice.
Fighters should not be penalized for wanting to come into the ring at their natural weight by having to fight guys 2/3 divisions bigger than them.Comment

I dont think this would cure the problem of richer fighters paying off their opponents so they dont have to make weight though.
Best way to tackle that is to make the rules stricter on anyone who is over the contracted (fao Floyd fans) weight. For some of these guys a few hundred thousand dollars just isnt cutting itComment
