Canelo vs Angulo - ROUND 8

The 8th round of Canelo vs Angulo. If you didn't see it, here it is - probably the best round of the fight!

I think Canelo studied the Lara fight very well.

He did exceptionally well against the slower Angulo in that round. It was nice to see Canelo roll those punches off the ropes the way he did. Mind you he did it agains a slow fighter but was entertaining to watch.

A 12 year old kid with no boxing experience could have shoulder rolled those damn punches. They had no snap, no speed, they were pathetic, honestly. Canelo has good offense, but his defense is a very weak shoulder roll which won't work against a smart fighter.

If Canelo moves to 160 and fights Gennady, he'd realize how dumb his shoulder roll would look when he gets double left-hooked. His explosive power is also very limited, he can barley hit a moving fighter (Trout) and suffers badly against fighters who can limit his range and not let him plant his feet. Don't get me started on his stamina..

Angulo was starting to get to him there but Canelo seemed to have gotten his second wind in the 9th. Would have loved to see how rounds 10-12.

Amazing how slow Canelo made Angulo look. I gave that round to Angulo as a pity round on the night but he didn't win it.

Why the wailing US anthem over the video? made it very noisy and neither are American anyway, it's two Mexicans.

                Canelo has skills.

                And he's not a pushover.

Why the hell did the moron who recorded this video have the National Anthem playing during the whole first half of the video?

Thanks for that. Canelo's punches seem much faster, harder and more accurate.
