Because unless they're ridiculously ****** (something we absolutely shouldn't rule out in your case) fans of fighters usually don't place their favourite fighter in the position to be so easily criticised/mocked/ridiculed as you do with your fighter.

    So basically, quite different then?

Referencing another more accomplished fighter than Khan isn't doing your argument much good.

        1) Corales vs Castillo - about 10 of us watched and were speechless for about 5 minutes after...the fight was completely barbaric with constant momentum swings...and the last round was straight from a hollywood script. I think it ruined both fighters in the end.

        2) JMM vs Pac IV - not that I have anything against PAC, he's a great fighter, but that was a punch that shocked the world....again, speechless for a few minutes...than worried Pac was dead for the next few.

        3) Pacquaio vs Margarito - I did a complete 360 with Margarito, I didn't like him early in his career, just didn't seem to have the atheltic skill set to be a special fighter. But after that Cotto fight I was like wow, this guy is completely legit....than we find out he cheated....and it was like alright, someone please remove this guy since the powers that be didn't have the balls to.

        3) MB vs Hamed - wasn't sold on Hamed and didn't care for all the yaping, it was nice to see a legit champ shut him up.

If we went back 25 years I'd have to add Chavez vs Taylor I, Douglas vs Tyson and Holyfield vs Tyson.

Naseem Hamed's career was no different to that of Joe Calzaghe's. The difference is Hamed was a KO artist so it was exciting and came to States earlier. Otherwise if you look at the fighters he beat they have good records coming in, but they themselves were padded up for the most part. Hamed was a good fighter, but his biggest wins are:

          1) Kevin Kelley
          2) Wayne Mc Cullough
          3) Wilfredo Vasquez (over the hill)

Did he come back from his first loss?

Khan has been KOed twice and he too couldve stayed in UK and win a title and milk it for 20 defenses become that sort of an ATG instead he keeps getting up and coming back.

Oh and unlike most boxing fans ive boxed as an amateur, so i know what im talking about.
Hamed's best win was over Tom Johnson. Tom Johnson was no 1 in the division and made 13 title defenses.

But at the time he fought Hamed he was 35 and over the hill so now age may not matter, but the fights he had after Hamed reflect that.

Wilfredo Vasquez was atleast a bigger name id say. Though he too was done big time. McCullough got a title shot or two after and Kelley too kept going strong.

So Khan winning his first belt is my favorite moment given the Prescott shock and that puts Khan in a mocking position? Brilliant.

Ive seen people mock Khan for doing charity work, so really people need no excuse to mock Khan. But hey thats not trolling right?

With that pathetic attempt at humor i hope you keep your day job.
That was quite ****** of you not to get the context, but i guess we shouldnt rule it out in your case.

Hamed and Calzaghe are similar because they fought mostly no namers and raked in title defenses. When they did fight a genuine guy it was "mostly" an over the hill dude. They are different cuz Hamed finished his with KOs so people tend to overlook who it was he beat. Even when Hamed did come to States besides Kevin Kelley he fought padded up Cesar Soto and Augie freakin Sanchez type of dudes. He had a fun ride and made $ so good for him.

If Khan stayed in the UK he too wouldve been Joe Calzaghe type of an ATG with joke stoppages and fighting no namers with padded up records. Maybe beat one or two genuine fighters and be considered an ace.

Sooooooo did Hamed come back from his first loss? I mean he was in his late 20s when he quit.

                  Top 3? Way to hard!
I'll just list some great moments for me....

Miguel Cotto exacting revenge on Antonio Margarito

Being part of the insanity that was the MEN Arena the night Ricky Hatton tore the title from Kostya Tszyu in Manchester

Marquez scoring that big KO over Pacquaio (nothing against Manny, I just felt Juan Really deserved that big win)

Marcos Maidana spanking Broner though recent is right up there for me, god I hate Broner!

Danny Williams fighting through the pain of a visibly dislocated shoulder to take out Mark Potter after tasting the canvas himself

Ricardo Mayorga letting Vernon Forrest tee off on his chin and taking it before knocking the Viper over

Hatton vs Mayweather 24/7 and the whole build up

The class and integrity Arturo Gatti and Micky Ward showed before, after and during their great triology

Khan comes across as a bit of a boob but he is a cool guy by all accounts. He has had his share of quality scraps but a stand out Khan moment for me is when he just let those hands go at a million miles an hour and machine gun fired Michael Gomez straight across the ring, how he stood up to that I will never know
