he made right decision,i think 126 is too much weight for him as it is,130 he would have gotten knocked out just like with Gonzalez,he needs to go back to 122 or like he said settle in at featherweight,every fight from now on at this weight class will be stronger and bigger than him so he has to take his time

I'm a huge Mares fan, but I think the loss to Gonzalez f**ked him up mentally. No rematch with Gonzalez yet, no Miura, and Santa Cruz just fought so they won't be able to fight until maybe June or July. Mares should take a tune up fight and then rematch Gonzalez.
