he had power and fast hands. i don't know why you kept bringing him up.

wlad's ko losses to puritty and brewster were more disappointing and surprising.

    corrie was talented.
Corrie Sanders wouldn't have been anything in any other era, much less a heavyweight champion. The only thing he ever did was catch Wlad and stop him. He may have been better then Puritty and Brewster, but Wlad redeemed himself against Brewster and was way young when he lost to Puritty.

Corrie Sanders is a good example of a crappy fighter looking good in an era of horrendous heavyweights.

      3 rounds tops

Sanders was as dangerous as anyone in history for the first three rounds.
Fast hard southpaw puncher who ko'ed 28 of 30 guys in the first 3 rounds, I believe 18 in the first.

The problem always lied in what went on after the 3rd.

Vitali even said it was the hardest he'd been hit and guys like Bert Cooper said they were surprised how hard he hit with his right.

I definitely give him a chance with the 80's guys pre-Tyson no doubt.
70's who knows I think he'd surprise people but when faced with the task after people survive the initial onslaught, who knows.

Sanders never backed up or hugged even when he was in big trouble.
Watch the Vit fight where he keeps getting peppered but looks with disdain when there's even a hint of hugging.

            RIP CORRIE SANDERS!!!!!!!!

To the topic, I see two Wlad's pre-Sanders and post-Sanders.

Post-Sanders Wlad tied people up a lot and is a master at it so if Joe fell into the trap, Wlad might weaken him using his size to try to wear him out.

Pre-Sanders Wlad, I think it's anything goes. I am inclined to think Joe could catch him early being sloppy.

Marvis Frazier would last a couple rounds.

Smokin Joe would embed Waldo into the canvas

He is definitely physically capable to take Frazier out. I dont think Wlad has it in his mentality.

If he wins, itll be boring, risk averse and by decision.

I think Frazier can overcome the physical aspect by being too stubborn to give up on getting inside and hitting something.

Refereeing would be a deciding factor.
