I will enjoy every second of watching Sergio limp around though, that's what he gets for picking on smaller guy and not fighting guys his size like Golovkin.

Of course Sergio agreed to the fight for the money. He is 40 and with a bad knee injury. Cotto is his best option, low risk/big money. But you know as well as I do that Cotto wouldn´t have pick this fight if Sergio were at his prime.

Sergio has fought bigger guys all his life. Is the first time that I see him fighting a smaller guy.

Not even you would choose to fight GGG instead of Cotto if you were Martinez. I mean, 40 years old and with bad knees. He deserves a big payday.

No doubt. Also he is picking on a smaller fighter... Cotto is going up another division to face this sissy clown.

At 160 lbs Sergio in his prime would beat any version of Cotto effortlessly.

At 160 lbs almost all past rivals of Martinez would defeat Cotto. All Chavez Jr, Paul Williams, Dzinziruk, Pavlik would beat Cotto senseless. Not because they are better boxers, but because they are too big for him.

And Martinez defeated them all in his prime, Cotto isn´t his most difficult opponent at 160 lbs by far.

Not sure I've ever seen cotto smile during a staredown. Maybe Manny got him to break bc he laughs all the time. don't remember. But that last lil smile & hug gives the impression that Serg is not all that pissed off. Or maybe they are just that gentlemanly

I also find it hard to believe anybody would just openly announce that they are injured going into a big fight unless it was a ploy to catch an opponent sleeping.

I won't say some safe **** and say that Cotto will be a difficult fight for Martinez. I believe Martinez stylistically has the advantage over Cotto. Even if his knees aren't 100%, I don't see him abandoning using his feet to circle Cotto. Cotto is the kind of fighter that has to really plant his feet when he attacks to the body (which I believe he will try to do to slow Martinez down). I don't think that will work with someone as mobile as Martinez. Every time Martinez is circling Cotto, I feel like it's going to force Cotto to reset and get his feet in position to throw punches, which by then Martinez is already circled behind him already.

In the end they hug and smile at each other. Looks like they are more friendlier than the hype that they are trying to give it.

Both guys are going to profit well from the fight

I mean yes. I agree w/ u. But the other side to that is Martinez hits ****in hard. Cintron thought he got headbutt when he really got hit w/ a left hand. I mean wtf?? Cotto aint standing up to that. I also think having his original coach Gabe back from extradition & prison is gonna be huge for their corner. People tend to forget that tactically team Martinez would come into fights w/ very good game plans. i just think once Miguel really gets touched & sees the speed. He's gonna flashback to those beatdowns from Manny & tony. & he's gonna get stopped
