Comments Thread For: Berto Can Begin Full Contact Sparring By Mid-April

(LOS ANGELES, CALIF.) - Former two-time World Champion Andre Berto (Winter Haven, Fla.) has received clearance to begin light sparring following his August shoulder surgery. Berto returned to Dr. Neal ElAttrache's office for a follow-up appointment on Monday, during which the world-renowned surgeon also stated that he could begin full contact sparring in mid-April.

"These last seven months and the whole rehab process haven't been easy at all, but it was worth it to finally be able to get back in the ring," Berto said. "I'm refocusing all my energy on coming back at 100% and showing all of my fans the best Andre Berto both mentally and physically. I have learned a lot during this time off and everyone is going to see all of that in my next fight."

      Looking forward to it.

At this point we know who Andre Berto is. No need to dress him up as the next best anything, we know his pros and cons. He will never be the "best". But he is still a damn good, fast and explosive fighter, who will fight toe to toe. There will plenty of highly entertaining matchups to watch with Andre.

      Looking forward to it.

Bring on Berto Ortiz II, Berto Collazo II, Berto Broner

Berto days are numbered. Hopefully he can make some cash and turn away from the sport. His speech didn't sound too good when they had him up there on Showtime.

              Unless he had been drinking...

Berto vs Alexander . Devons team should be ashamed of
Themselves for calling out berto coming off beatings and a layoff not to mention new trainer in Virgil hunter.

Alexander is finished at the world championship level.
