Promoter Frank Warren today won the purse bids for the Vacant European Middleweight Championship between Billy Joe Saunders and Emanuele Blandamura.

The purse bids were held at the EBU head office in Rome and Warren, Saunders� promoter, outbid Salvatore Cherchi from OPI 2000, promoter of Blandamura, to stage the fight.

A date and venue will be announced for the fight shortly.
