If Floyd did what Canelo did to Lara, you would say Floyd is ducking Lara.

The one who is a victim of a double standard is Canelo, not Floyd. Many on here are complaining about Canelo not fighting Lara but not complaining that Mayweather, Cotto and other top 154 pounders aren't trying to fight Lara either. Why does Canelo get so much crap about not fight Lara, who brings in small money but Cotto and Mayweather don't get the same crap? Why is it only Canelo's job to face this man? Actually the only fighters that are obligated to fight top contenders like Lara are the 154 pound champions and that is Mayweather. Canelo is not the champion and he can fight whoever he wants to fight. Mayweather is the 154 pound world champion and when he doesn't ever fight the #1 contender who is Lara, then Maywether is the one ducking Lara, not Canelo. There is your double standard and it's working for Floyd, not Canelo. Floyd should defend his 154 pound title against Lara or give up the title.

This is prize fighting. Money is the prize. The only reason Lara wants to fight Canelo is it's his biggest money fight. Why the hell isn't Lara trying to get a fight with 154 pound champ Molina??? Molina is a champion and many thought he beat Lara. Lara is not interested in proving he is better than Molina because there isn't much money in it. Canelo isn't afraid of Lara. Canelo was fighting men when he was a boy of 15. But Lara doesn't bring in the money so Canelo would rather fight someone like Cotto who does bring in the money. As a Canelo fan I hope Lara is his next fight. I want him to knock Lara out and shut him up and I think he will do that.

Canelo isn't ducking anybody. No one outside of NSB knows or cares who Lara is. He has no fanbase and brings nothing to the table right now. He is a good fighter and with time can build his name up but he is not there yet. If Lara was a star and could carry a PPV and Nelo still said no then yes he would be ducking. Canelo has plenty of options and has proven he won't duck a challenge. Take a look at who Floyd was fighting when he was 22-23 and then tell me that Canelo is ducking anybody.
