Come on guys...... Stop trashing the Chinese and Asians in general..... China in not remotely developed for boxing.... It's all about desire...... If Chinese kids can grow up dreaming about being great boxers then we'll see some great ones someday......

I'm not Asian, but you need to consider the big picture..... When the Iron Curtain fell, you started to see all these euro-boxers make their mark.... They've practically owned the heavyweight division the past decade plus, not just the Klitschko's..... As a American, this continues to surprise me..... Boxing was their ticket to a better life and they ran with it.... They changed that robotic euro style, they morphed into a more fluid style like the rest of the world, they grew up....

The reality is ANY people who see Boxing as a way to escape desperate situations, will succeed eventually.... If they are willing to put in the work and **** with others, who also are willing to put in the work, The Cream Will Rise To The Top!!!!

It worked in post communist Eastern Europe and Russia..... It will work in China as well, if they have the will to fight...... That's a big IF ..... They can produce Heavyweights eventually as well.....

That is why creating demand in China will create desire in their youth.... If they can get quality trainers and are open minded enough to bring in boxer's from around the world to train and compete with???? The Chinese will develop world class boxers...... Just like the rest of the world..... And because they have over 5 times as many people in China than there are in America, some world class Heavyweights will also develop..... It's going to take time, but will happen if the burning will to compete is there.

LOL @ fake combat fight. You think it's a coincidence that a lot of top pro mixed martial artists were successful olympians?

Also there's Hong-man Choi who won a K1 world grand prix and defeated some top kickboxers.
Wtf are you smoking Hong Man Choi NEVER won a k1 grand prix

Wow thats a seriously ignorant comment mate,

That's like saying many Hispanic/Mexican fighters do well in the lower weights of boxing but don't in heavyweights?

But then thats severely proved wrong because if you look at UFC's top two HW's they're both Hispanic.

ANYBODY has the ability to become a successful fighter in ANY weight class regardless of their race, it's HARD WORK and COMMITMENT that get you there, not your ethnicity!

He won the 2005 K1 world grand prix in Seoul, but apparently it was a preliminary tournament. Anyway he has a victory over Semmy Schilt who is highly decorated kickboxer.

You said big asians are clumsy and goofy, that should be a handicap against smaller, quicker fighters.

Which is like saying black people are ****** compared to whites and asians because they have fewer nobel laureate and score lower on SATs and GREs.

Maybe there are other reasons for the lower scores ... poverty, poorer educational opportunites, cultural differences, etc.. The same holds true for asian boxers.

Poverty (lack of protein) means you don't grow as tall and heavy as you otherwise would have. As diets improve so does the average height of the population.

The biggest factor relating to boxing is poverty - especially thinking that the only way out is through sports. The second factor is starting young.

As boxing increases in popularity in China the quality of their boxers will improve as well.
