Are you really comparing guy who's not even really a middleweight to a guy that should be fighting light heavy or cruiser? Some of you say the most ridiculous stuff.

Look, I am a big fan of both fighters. Cotto fights everyone, ducks nobody and comes to battle. He has never been the same after the margarito 1 fight. I believe his brains were scrambled after that fight. He has a warriors heart without a doubt. Same with Maravilla, never ducked anyone and did not get to shine due to him being a light skinned Latino and nobody wants to fight a pretty southpaw *******ual. That last round with Chavez jr took alot out of him. That fight with Murray he looked like hot garbage, he did not look as fit and lost some of his speed. His body is breaking down. Now with this fight………Cotto got everything he asked for……including the ringsize, and venue. Which means if it goes 12 rounds and was competitive Cotto will get the nod, and if the ring is small Sergio can only slide so many times before he is on the ropes or in the corner where prolly the ref will stop it. I want a competitive fight, not what we had last weekend with el Perro y Canelo. But even Maravilla right now can't even train 100% with that gimp knee. So idk its hard to say who will win but if I was betting I'd say Cotto is supposed to get this and Sergio has to lo look sensational like he did in the first 11 with Chavez jr.

So that is somehow Martinez's fault that the spoiled kid didnt train? After being handed a title and running for over a year he didnt train well thats his fault.

Chavez came in as a cruiser (after hydrating) and got schooled for 11 rounds non stop and couldnt block punches to save his life. Yet a fatigued Martinez gets a flash knockdown and you kids wanna pretend Martinez was lucky or something.
First of all Chavez lost against Zbik. Zbik was clearly superior and I dare to say that zbik only throw sweet punches for the poiled baby. For me that crap that Chavez didn't train isn't true, of course he train but he was too scared to throw punches, and he was running for almost 2 years.Chavez Jr. was schooles for 11 & 3/4 rounds and Martinez wanted to get into a brawl with Chavez even when he was knocked down, he doesn't ran.

So by your standards Sergio is an idiot for comparing the two even though he would have fought the two? Don't understand that logic.

You've seen the quality of his chin at 160?

People forget that Sergio injured himself in that Chavez Jr. fight and had no choice but to **** with him that final round and he got caught. He had to have knee surgery following the fight. Without that injury Sergio would have done what he had done the whole fight, busted Jr. up and been way to fast for him to react.
Always been a Cotto supporter but unless Sergio is absolutely done with age and injury and a long layoff catching up to him, which is probably what team Cotto is betting on, Sergio wins this fight easily. Would be surprised if it lasted all 12 rounds.

The Chavez Jr that Martinez spent 2 years ducking, 36 minutes getting his ass whooped by and 6 months out injured because of?

                      That Chavez Jr?

I guess now Martinez is back to fighting 140lbers, he's comfortable talking trash.
