Rumors about a seious rift between Oscar De la Hoya and Richard Schaefer...

It seems like Oscar would love to end the feud but Schaefer could not more disrespectful to Arum than he is now. He hates Arum and cusses and mocks him every chance he gets. Maybe Oscar and Schaefer are fighting about this but I don't know if that is true or not. I would think that Schaefer would go along with Oscar's wishes. As far as I know Oscar owns the company and Schaefer works for Oscar.

I really hope you are right. This Cold War needs to end.

Richard basically ran golden boy, Oscar was just the image and the name, his nickname and his image was used to build the company, they are pushing Oscar out and replacing him with Al Haymon, this is basically whats going on.

Haymon, Shaeffer and Espinoza are the power players here. Oscar just a puppet and pawn, same with Bernard, B hop has no power in that company, the company was originally started by Oscar to be a Fighters promotion, that is what Oscar did and now its been ruined by Shaeffer its no longer a fighters promotion run by fighters ie Oscar and B hop.

Does Oscar legally own Golden Boy promotions or not? If he legally owns it then I would think he could give orders to all employees or fire them if he wanted to.
Maybe he does not argue with Schaefer for fear the company would not do as well without him.

I can see Oscar is willing to end this cold war. Richard Schaefer not too much. I even think he's having a good time with all this.

There is no legally owned. It's a privately shared company. Oscar is probably majority stakeholder. But he doesn't solely own the company.

I've seen heads of companies that they have started being fired or ousted, like that Mens Warehouse guy he started that business over 25 years ago and got kicked out of his position they replaced him but he still owns a certain percentage.

Lets be honest with Oscar Issues had it not been For Richard, Golden Boy Promotions probably would be defunct right now if it wasn't for Richards Shaefer who been holding things together while Oscar had his Demons a few times since retiring

Seems to be Golden Boy is mostly Schaefer and Haymon anyway to be honest. Oscar can actually just stay home and collect his cut.

More like ending the cold war with HBO Id guess. HBO has a long and great history with Hoya. Been his home forever.

Why would Hoya go to bat for Arum, over a guy who took care of his company when he was drinking his life away?
