Personally if Lara was a hype job, or exposure waiting to happen, I think that the superstars would have come knocking loooong ago. The fact that neither have barely ever mentioned his name tells me both are well aware of his capabilities.

Sound logic. For instance, why would Canelo choose to fight the loser of Lara-Angulo? Is it because Perro brings more fans? Alvarez has more than enough of a following to raise interest. Is it because Alfredo promised more of an action fight? Lara climbed off the canvass twice to turn Angulo's face into a swollen mound of mush. Erislandy's dangerous, and everyone but Canelo's most ardent fans knows it.

The Angulo fights show us nothing about how a potential Lara-Canelo fight would go... other than the fact Lara can go down (but seems to be able to recover quite well). Angulo throws a hell of a lot more than Canelo, and from what i've seen, fare better against an opponent who actually moves.

The fights I think are important to look at, are the Trout fights. Trout gave Canelo a hard, hard fight....a lot of observers saw a Trout victory there, though it was close so either way is fine. Trout's gameplan there was to box and move. You can use elements of the Mayweather fight, but I personally find it hard to compare Lara/Mayweather.

We saw via Trout-Lara just how superior Lara is at boxing and moving, along with some solid power to add to the mix.

If Lara applies the same gameplan to Canelo as Trout did, I honestly cannot see Canelo winning unless he lands something lucky....and even then I see Lara getting back up.

JUST BECAUSE LARA STRUGGLED AGAINST ANGULO AND CANELO DOMINATED HIM DOESNT MEAN THAT CANELO WILL DOMINATE LARA BECAUSE THIS IS THE SAME ARGUEMENT THEY USED FOR THE FOREMAN-ALI FIGHT. Anyway I stop reading when you said arcanely has a better defense than Lara. Don't get me wrong, Canelo has a good defense but not better than Lara's.
