Comments Thread For: Danny Williams Sets "Farewell Fight" on 5/3 in Frankfurt

Latvia-licensed British heavyweight veteran Danny Williams (45-21) will fight in Frankfurt / Main (Germany) on May 3 in what he says is his farewell fight. Opponent was to have been Boris Estenfelder (4-0) but he is out and now they are looking for a replacement.

"I want to go out with a win," states Williams, who´s had it rough in the last few years fighting all over Europe with losses to guys he would have beaten a few years back. [Click Here To Read More]

Whatever, he will lose this fight and have a few more fights. He needed to retire 6 years ago.

He didn't need to do anything. Maybe he needed the money?
But he can do as he wants and retire when he wants.

Someone needs to brutalise Danny into retirement; it's the only way he'll hang them up.

when he retired before, he tried finding work in security but he couldnt find enough work.

                good luck champ.

Glad he is calling it a career. Wouldn't want to see him hurt in the ring.

But I wonder who his comeback opponent will be?

Danny knew he was shot years ago, his punch resistance is virtually zero but he has two daughters at private school, and he fights on to give them the opportunities he never had.

A nice guy and one of my favourite fighters.
