The touts have snapped most of them up. The amount of tickets on seatwave and Stubhub already is a joke.

This fight, as I understand, is HUGE in England. would Ward and the winner generate as much sales?

On a related note, if Khan is truly the biggest name in boxing in England, you'd have to think floyd and manny, once they they become aware of this, would have to consider a Khan fight in Wembly.

That might actually be better than whatever Ward ends up doing. Whenever that is. If he ever fights again, I guess.

Khan is not the biggest name in England. Also, the ticket price in vegas is obviously a lot higher than in a stadium in the UK, so the gate is probably equal or close in terms of gate revenue for each Mayweather/Manny fight.

Ward fight wouldnt be AS big, but it would be huge. Bigger than it would be in USA in terms of live gate/excitement if not TV viewing figures. Not a knock, just how i see it.

Khan isnt bigger than Froch anymore, at least not among people who will pay and go to fights or even watch him on telly.

He might be a more household name due to his celebrity, but that isnt the be all and end all. I wouldnt be surprised to see Mayweather get more cheers than Khan if they fought in the UK

ok. I don't know a ton about the english boxing scene so I am asking.

You think ward v the winner sells as much in wembly as this fight?

The business is down to Eddie Hearn maximising the momentum of Froch's career and the Froch/Groves fight. When he was with Hennessy he was not making that much when you consider his status and before that he turned down being managed by Frank Warren. Warren would have elevated his exposure but he did not want the fish eyed snake wrapped round him. it is only recently that froch has been getting big money.
Ward is tied in with Goosen and did not sign with Golden Boy or Top Rank much along the same lines as Froch not signing with Warren. He is trying to get out of his contract and the only real dumb ass business decision I can see him making is appointing Dwyer as his lawyer. I think the decision to go with Goosen was to develop his career in a steady way,he is unbeaten so it has worked but he is in a different place now,the finished item and wants to change. Even with the best promotors and managers his style is not going to be an easy sell.
