Comments Thread For: Mansour: Malik Scott Will Whoop Deontay Wilder's Ass!

Few fighters in the sport of boxing are more straight-talking than Amir Mansour. The Delaware-based heavyweight will finally have the chance to show what he can do against a name opponent in front of a nationwide audience when he faces Steve Cunningham on April 4.

Mansour may be unknown to the wider public, but hardcore fans are aware of his abilities and some view him as the best American hope for a heavyweight champion of the world in the near future.

The Steve Cunningham fight will tell us a lot about how good Mansour really is.

As for Deontay Wilder....Malik Scott will test him, I just wish he was more of a puncher so we could see how Wilder's chin holds up.

You don't have to be but so much of a puncher to check someone's chin in the HW division (for Malik Scott-Wilder). Monsour is fairly articulate. I think he has a good defense and packs a punch, but it's still late in the game for him to be spouting all of this talk. He's 41... what was he doing 20 years ago? Is he the incarnate of Ray Mercer, or what??

He was poorly motivated in the Chisora-fight. Is he always poorly motivated?

I'd expect Scott to out-box him early. Shame he doesn't carry much power, as Wilder is going to catch him with something sooner or later.

Hopefully Scott shows up to win. I'll be disappointed if he can't make Wilder go some rounds.
