As the clock winds down on yet another fight camp, Jack ‘The Assassin’ Asis has spoken out about his heart break after his last fight. Asis, who headed the ‘Smithy brings the big fights 5’ bill, was given a controversial majority draw which meant neither he or opponent Hirohito ***uhara left the venue with the title belt which was on the line.
Asis, who has had 52 professional bouts said, “I’ve never won a fight so convincingly and felt I’ve been robbed. I’ve copped some bad decisions in my life, but never when it’s been in my home town against a foreigner. If this fight was in Japan, in his backyard then this result is understandable, but when you beat a guy so bad that even he knows I was hard done by, some questions have to be asked of the judges. Either way, it has taught me a valuable lesson and I will never leave it in the judge’s hands again.”
