Personally, it's very difficult for me to see Jones Jr being out-hussled by anybody really (and that would be Collins' only hope). Jones Jr was in great shape at 168, rarely tired, and his dashing speed remained throughout.

Collins only managed to out-hussle Eubank because Eubank desperately lacked stamina, and was weight-drained. Benn quit twice, and Benn was winning both Collins fights before pulling out between rounds (and this was the POST-McClellan version of Benn, you know, when he looked far worse than ever).

Yeah, he defended his IBF title five times - and none of those five opponents were even ranked in the top 10 at 168. You can't really count Toney, because Toney was in no fit state to fight that night.

Nigel Benn is the #1 at 168, of all-time. He was brilliant under Jimmy Tibbs (he was with Tibbs from Galvano 92 through to Giminez 94), boxing very intelligently. Then the McClellan fight.

Benn was robbed against the undefeated Chris Eubank and beat the seemingly invincible Gerald McClellan, he'd won the WBC title in Italy and made 10 defences but was never the same after the McClellan fight. His performances against Piper and Wharton were ****ing flawless, Benn was more impressive at 168 to me than Jones because Benn didn't run away like Jones he stayed in front of them and just ducked and weaved to avoid punches.

You can't count McClellan, he was obviously in poor health and was not fit to fight that night.

He was in tip-top shape, he needed this win to set-up his big win against Jones (not that he hadn't already beaten Jones).
