Plaster Margarito couldn't beat Paul williams.

Hagler would destroy that trash even if he put a horseshoe in his gloves.

Exactly. And if it were possible for this idiotic matchup to happen it would have only lasted 3 rounds like Hagler Vs Hearns.Margarito would not have been able to hurt Hagler at all.

I like Margarito and defend him against his haters as best I can. But I can't think of much I would disagree more with than your statement that Margarito would make Hagler quit. That is a ******, crazy, insulting and absolutely wrong thing to say. Hagler may be the best middleweight in history. Without a doubt he was one of the toughest and bravest fighters in history. He was not smaller than Margarito. Margarito was a welterweight in his prime and Hagler was a middleweight since the day he turned pro at 19 years old. He might have had the best chin in history since he was never knocked down or even staggered in his long career of fighting the best fighters and punchers in his weight class. Nobody in their right mind would rate Margarito as good a fighter as all time great Hagler. Margarito was a very good fighter. A prime Hagler was vastly superior to the old welterweight Mosley that KOed Margarito. Hagler was a great boxer and a great puncher with an iron jaw and endless stamina. He would easily KO a prime Margarito in a round or two. Hagler did not have any quit in him at all and I don't know what made you think he did.

Since when did margarita have a prime anything? I mean has this guy ever put together a string of good solid wins ever? He beat Cintron and then 2 fights later beat Clottey (if you want to consider these solid wins) but then lost to Paul Williams in a UD. He beat Cotto but then got destroyed by Shane. I don't see any "prime" on this shlt resume.

Never mind a prime Margarito; I'd seriously favour the Margarito of now over Hagler. If one welterweight with a bum eye could come out of retirement and show Hagler up, I see no logical reason as to why Margarito couldn't do the same.

Hagler **** his pants in fear in the first fight with stumpy, feather fisted Antuofermo. Couldn't believe that this little guy had the toughness and stamina to pour it on like he did in the late stages of this fight.

No one, cotto is a top fighter, but I wouldn't have ever called him elite. His toughness of taking on challenges and his drawing power gets him a bit overrated in my opinion.
