Oh, he's a threat alright. Make no mistake about it.
As if fighting Lara would do better..

At least Maidana brings the fight....all Lara does is retreat.

One thing i dont buy is that Floyd didn't know who Lara was for a guy thats supposed to be a boxing junkie that is impossible.

for a money fight with canelo.I dont blame him.
Guess what a win over Canelo would do? It would make the casual fans call for Mayweather vs Canelo even more

I seriously doubt Mayweather or Showtime gives a **** about "BELTS" and "MANDATORY" right now, it is all about $$$ and Mayweather is trying to get the most he can during these last 4 Fights before stepping away. It sucks that boxing is all about Politics especially when it comes to landing a fight with Mayweather but right now Mayweather vs Lara is NOT a big fight. Like Maidana he does need that big win over someone like Canelo at 154 to really create a Buzz

I'm a Boxing fans like many on this forum of course we are aware who Lara is but the people who actually do buy PPV's and go see the fights live and buy tickets, most of them don't have a clue who he is at the moment.

You kidding me? You cant name 20 better boxers in the world than Robert Guerrero? Victor Ortiz isn't even top 50.

It's possible he wasn't that familiar with Lara before recently.

In a recent interview, he had trouble remembering Guerrero's name.

And then think about how Roger Mayweather and Floyd Mayweather Sr, rarely know who these fighters are. When Chris Robinson asked Roger about Golovkin, Roger said 'who? that sound like a mutha****in candy bar!'
