I don't see how there's some sinister ulterior motive behind this, like Angulo is an easy opponent, he showed against Lara he's dangerous. That's why they wanted either Cotto or Angulo. Both would make for a good action PPV main event.

I don't think GBP is afraid to match Canelo with Lara, and I don't think Canelo is afraid of Lara. And I think Lara>Canelo, but i'm a big fan of both.
    Stop talking sense, Kev.

This is NSB, remember? All of these fighters who get in the ring and throw hands for a living are secretly cowardly little b*tches who wet the bed in fear of some potential opponent every other night.

You serious? Angulo has cried for no reason at all in both of the All Access episodes and he looked like a POW candidate at the weighin yesterday. Canelo is faster, throws better combinations, has better movement, and has a better defense than Angulo does. All Angulo has is power and pressure going for him.

I wouldn't be surprised if Canelo stopped Angulo late due to the accumulation of punishment.

Getting hit like crazy? Canelo was dodging a whole lot of Trout punches. He looked like Neo from The Matrix in there at times. It was embarrassing because that was supposed to be Trout's role, while Canelo was supposed to be the bull.

Canelo catches a lot of heat around here for some reason, but he doesn't come off as the type of guy who is afraid of any JMW. He's merely 23 years old and has already fought Mayweather, Trout and now about to fight Angulo and wanted Cotto badly. If anything, he's on his way to a quick career. No way he gets past 30 years old as a prime fighter fighting this kind of opposition. People are crazy to not be excited about such a young fighter taking on such competition. I mean he's potentially fighting Cotto, Martinez or Lara this year. I am excited for his career, any boxing fan should be.

I honestly think Angulo is a live dog in this fight, but not to the extent that you do.

If I was that confident I'd bet a minimum of 100 dollars at the books.

Probably bet 500 if I were ts.

I honestly don't get it, either.

This sport is in desperate need of guys like Canelo. Not only does he put asses in seats, but he's already a superstar at 23 years old, and his drawing power will only increase if he continues to win big fights.

Hell, even Mayweather acknowledged that the sky is the limit for the kid should he continue to win. I believe he called him "the future of boxing" at the post fight press conference.

I don't know why any fan would want to see him do badly because every generation of boxing needed that one guy to keep the public's eye fixed on our sport - Louis, Robinson, Ali, Tyson, De La Hoya, Mayweather, etc...

You guys really think its going to be full on toe-to-toe? I think Canelo is going to be boxing a lot, although he can't get drawn into slugging in the first four rounds.

There is so much wrong with this post I don’t even know why I’m going to respond to it. Angulo crying, and the way he looks has to do with fight how?

This is a classic case of boxer/puncher vs Pressure fighter, you telling me in the history of boxing only the more skilled guy wins? Canelo is okay at a few things, Angulo is really good in less things, but those factors will win him the fight. Heart, stamina, confidence, all this plays into a fight just as much as being fast.

Did you just start watching boxing?
