What is this his version of Jedi mind tricks. Santa Cruz is a tuff hombre - he keeps on giving till his opponent can't take it no more

That would be something if he pulls a Jhonny Gonzalez tonight.

          How is his movement though?
The last fight I saw, think about 2-3 years ago, wasn't that impressed with the movement

His movement usually sucks, you see it from time to time when he chooses to use it. That's his whole game plan for this fight though, he knows if he stands in front of Santa Cruz he's dead meat, he knows this. Let's see if he sticks to the game plan, i think he will. I've been a Mijares fan ever since he beat Katsushige Kawashima back in 2007, he's from my moms hometown in Mexico.

Leo outworks him and wins a unanimous decision.

Mijares can give Santa Cruz one of his toughest fights to date.

Mijares' KO ratio is misleading because he's not a typical boxer that fights on the outside fighter and occasionally engages. He's a pressure fighter that uses subtle upper body movement on the inside (though he's no defensive wizard) and tries to pick and peck at close range. If he's able to avoid Santa Cruz long right cross for most of the night and control center ring by pushing him back, he's going to put himself in good position to take the fight on points.

Santa Cruz is going to have to use his jab to control the fight when they're on the outside and at mid-range and press Mijares without getting all the way on the inside like he's used to. If he lets Mijares get to the inside without landing his jab, he's going to make this fight tougher than it has to be.

I think Santa Cruz' sheer size, the power on his shots, and work rate is going to win him the fight, but he's going to miss a lot in the process unless he can find good angles to land his body shots (which is tougher against southpaws). Mijares is actually used to the type of fight and style Santa Cruz brings and is going to put up a solid effort win/lose.
