Comments Thread For: Cristian Mijares: Leo Santa Cruz Knows He Will Lose

MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Former two division world champion Cristian Mijares (49-7-2, 24KOs) is very confident to overcome the odds later tonight, when he challenges undefeated Leo Santa Cruz (26-0-1, 15KOs) for the WBC super bantamweight title.

Last March, Mijares challenged for the same world title when he faced Victor Terrazas. He was on the losing end of a close split decision. Mijares won his two outings, by knockout. Santa Cruz captured the title last August, when he easily knocked out Terrazas in three rounds.

Mijares is talking a good game, let's see if he can back it up.

        I don't know... I just don't see it.
He'll probably surprise me, but I think it's too late in the game for him to do that against the swarming kid

I bet on Mijares, I am positive he will pull it off. I feel very strongly about this.

I think he will do very good as well. LSC already appears to be looking past him and Mijares has a wealth of experience and is a boxer who can evade LSC and counter him effectively.
