Weird thing, I watched the 3rd fight at a friends with lots of people and thought Marquez beat him easy..When I watched it at home alone the next Saturday I had Manny winning 115-113? Weird, but I thought a lot of those rounds were very close, both landing clean shots..I don't know, did anyone else give that fight to Manny after re watching?

both have won,, the series is 2-1-1 for manny but in my view its 2-2..

Manny should have one the 1st fight by a point,, the 10-6 1st round was too much for jmm to overcome, even though he outboxed manny from about the 3rd round on and scoring rounds i have it 7-5 in favor of jmm but those kds in the first round sway it to manny favor by a slim margin

2nd fight was a draw if not for the kd early in the fight,, I thought both guys had won 6 apiece but the knockdown gave manny a 114-113 win

3rd fight was the easiest to score IMO.. it was a clear 115-113 or 116-112 win for jmm.. jmm got robbed in that fight

I did this...first time I saw JMM-PAC III, I thought Marquez had took it, but upon seeing it again and attempting to score I had Manny winning by the skin of his teeth...I have since seen the fight back a couple more times after the time I scored and to be honest with you I am not sure about my own judgement on it. I have had them both winning it on the different occasions I have seen it.

The third is easily the most controversial therefore the one that Manny deserves the least credit for. Technically you could say he deserved the 1st fight due to the judging error, but a draw would be a fair call in that fight anyway if we are honest, both guys deserved that one hence the official ruling I guess. The 2nd fight I believe Manny won and deserves the call for. Not the 3rd however, it is shrouded in to much controversy and debate to credit him with the W indefinitely. If there is any claim for JMM to be 'robbed' it is ONLY the third one in my opinion.

Basically I feel as though the splitting of credit is like this...

The deserving of being rewarded the W in I could justifiably go to both.

The credit for the W in II could justifiably go to Pac.

The credit for a W in III could be justifiably split between both.

The credit for a W in IV is justifiably Marquez'.

So yeah, if someone came to me with an argument for Manny deserving at least two W's over JMM, I wouldn't argue too much as long as they also acknowledge the credit that has to go to JMM on the flispside also. Hence the great rivalry and memorable fights...

Almost every significant boxer from past generations to today, (you know, people who actually box for a living) publicly stated or tweeted that Marquez won the third fight.
