    Phil Ivey now a promoter.

Phil Ivey, probably the best poker player in the world, announced today on twitter he's in the promoting business. He mentioned he has a partner in All In Entertainment. He's a big boxing fan, and figured it was at least worth mentioning here.

That would be pretty cool if he was. I would doubt it, but I wouldn't know. I know he'd never post on a poker forum but he's a boxing fan.

Doesn't matter if you're Mike Tyson, a billionaire businessman or someone like Phil Ivey. If you don't have the name fighters you ain't getting anywhere. Beneath the cream layer at the top of the talent pool is **** soup.

I kept looking at the thread title, and the name sounded familiar, then I just realized it's the poker player.

              Pretty cool.

He seems a little too mellow to sell a fight from what I've seen of him -- which is admittedly very little outside of ESPN wsop.

... But I always liked watching him play and it takes a lot of intelligence to be considered the best poker player (or best anything, really) in the world.

                  Good luck to him.
