yes both by Boxing terms have been KD. Hatton was Flash knocked down By Magee and Floyds hand touched the canvas when he hit Carlos Hernandez on top of the head and Broke his hand.

Although I like Hatton's style, that clip shows him against very poor competition (which happens to consume his resume). Many will look that good against poor competition.

Im not hating on Hatton- he is a good fighter.

I think there is too much emphasis on Hatton looking for great opponents.

Hatton holds two of the main belts (not includidng WBU) he shouldn't have to go looking for Mayweather or Cotto or even Castillo/Gatti they should come to him, especially if they have no fear in fighting him.

I honestly believe that outside of PBF Hatton would clean up, the Floyd fight would be difficult and its hard to be too confident although would Floyd want to mess his Pretty Boy looks up in a war of attrition type fight against Hatton?

I would love Hatton to fight Cotto, Gatti, Castillo and then fight Mayweather but I dont think it would ever happen.

I will add though that many on here want to think before they type, they dismiss Hatton and disregard the Tsyzu fight as if it didn't happen, remember he retired on his stool!

Hatton may not beat Mayweather but to dismiss him as a great champion only shows up a lack of real knowledge of the sport of boxing!

He is going to have to fight someone of prestige in order to earn the respect of the American boxing fans. How many true contenders has he fought? the 36 year old KT or the undeserved champion Maussa?

Hatton has alot to prove, hopefully he does it this year. He seems like he is willing to prove it. I geuss we will see
Fighting Baldomir will not do it.

Agreed, the Baldomir fight is a waste of time as far as gaining respect, it will get him another belt in another division so thats something!
As for the KT fight, KT still showed enough for me to see that he was still a great champion, he hit Ricky with some brutal shots that he walked through, as for Maussa well he held the WBA title and he won it on merit with a stoppage, Hatton had nothing to gain other than the belt as it was a no win type fight, you could never look good against that sort of opponent!
No, Hatton's record is not littered with huge names but who's is? You fight too many big names too soon and your shorten your career through repetitive damage, he should get respect for being unbeaten, exciting and the holder of two of the three main belts, until he does something wrong or loses badly or poorly then we should as boxing fans owe him that much?

Hatton Defining The Internet Term "Owned"...

Check some of those KD's and KO's they are awesome, also some rare footage of him training etc.

P.s Check for the Miguel Cotto lookalike hahahaha.

                Enjoi.

...Looks like he's been a swarmer since he was a little fella. I like him even if he did beat one of my favorite fighters of all time in Zoo. He is a tenacious tough guy who also seems like a very likable person. I think alot of Americans underrate him a bit and I hope he destroys Mayweather when he gets the chance.

I respect him for his undefeated record but he needs to fight real fighters(which he will hopefully do in the U.S). Baldomir will only put a belt around his waste, and that is not respectable.

Cotto looked great against Maussa! He outboxed the crap out of him.

Show the footage vs. Eamon Magee and you will see a fighter with world class footwork, world class technical ability, and above average speed.
