  • Comments Thread For: Hunter Feels Mayweather-Khan Will Eventually Happen

Amir Khan's trainer expects his charge to announce his next fight within a week but has revealed it will not be against Adrien Broner.

The Bolton fighter was left high and dry for an opponent last week when pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather opted to snub him and instead face Marcos Maidana in a unification welterweight title fight on May 3.

The unbeaten Mayweather is expected to comfortably beat Maidana, who earned his opportunity with a surprise victory over then-WBA champion Broner.

And the American promised Khan a shot if he could emulate Maidana's achievement in defeating Broner - although the Briton labelled his foe "full of s***".

Of course it will eventually happen, because there is no more bankable class b left to fight. So expect, khan-floyd to happen this coming september of maybe next year.

Hunter: I wouldn't be surprise if Khan was undefeated again.

Isn't that picking and choosing on the behalf of Mayweather, Hunter?

If Khan wins his next fight consider it done. It probably already is done.

Just for ****s and giggles what if Matweather loses, does anybody care to still fight him after that?

Im hoping it doesnt it. First khan need to avenge his loses to peterson and danny garcia. The same way pac needs to avenge his loses to marquez and bradley.

If the fans know better (which I bet they don't) we won't support Floyd vs Maidana so they know not to feed us sht. But this ppv will probably break a little over a million and we will continue to see the "best" fighter vs second hand opposition
