Comments Thread For: Hearn: Brook Will Only Sidestep Porter For Khan

Kell Brook will tackle Alvaro Robles in his next fight as he warms up for his IBF welterweight title shot later this year.

The pair will go toe-to-toe on the same bill as Tony Bellew when the Liverpudlian makes his cruiserweight debut in front of his home town fans at the Echo Arena on March 15, live on Sky Sports.

Undefeated Brook will be aiming for his 32nd consecutive win against the big-hitting Mexican, who has won 15 of his 17 victories by knockout.

    Nice bluff by Hearn.

Khan will earn in that region for any event that he headlines. Making out like this is a once in a life time offer is nonsense.

On top of that he points out that if Khan were to lose to Brook, his career would be over. Well that's even less incentive to fight Brook then! May as well not waste his time on the risk and go for Mayweather where he actually will earn a career high pay day.

Not that I believe Khan is afraid of Brook - but any fight is a risk, you never know when a clash of heads or a broken hand or jaw etc will happen. Freak events to one side, Khan mops the floor with Brook.

No way does Khan get that kind of money for any fight he headlines. I think he only got $900k when he fought Maidana.

If Khan thinks that Brook isn't up to the task and he will have an easy nights work, then he would snatch the $5M and laugh all the way to the bank.

He probably went life and death with Diaz for a fraction of that money.

Really get fed up with Kell Brook. In 2009 he was mandatory for Manny. Ok you could not expect him to fight him but he was saying back then that he was ready for Manny and Cotto. For the past 5 years he was been beating d grade fighters and if he had a fight against any of the following fighters
Bradley, Maidana, Robert Guerrero, Porter, Thurman, Alexander, Malignaggi, Bundu, van Heerden, Bailey, Soto Karass, Collazo or even Josesito Lopez it would have given us an idea of how good Kell is.

His best win is against Senchenko. Which is a step up but baby step.

Don't forget that Brook turned down a Bradley fight after he beat Pacman.

Oh so they have changed the importance of Kell Brooks fights from 'final title eliminator' to 'world title warm-up'..................they should just start calling them 'joke' fights lol

Purses aren't the only source of income, an international fighter like Khan has tv distribution deals in place

Yeh Khan take your chances because this year is gonna be Kell's year like it has been every year since 2010.

This right here again is a case of Brook fighting a bum and hyping it up by using Khan's name for publicity. Hes made a career out of using Khan's name. So sad and lame. After this he will fight Carson Jones in a final eliminator to fight for the semi-final eliminator for a world title against Hector Saldivia.

And please people should stop comparing this with Hatton-Witter situation.
