Better to post this in t&n, but just know that everyone gets nervous, your opponent will be too, and the best thing you can do is try relax as much as u can, and focus on getting in the ring and listening to your trainer, and boxing as well as u can. -
Honestly watch 24/7. Think about the mentality Floyd Pacquiao and Marquez have.
Go out there and take that mother***ahs soul!
In the last stage of boot camp, we had to fight another recruit (with headgear of course) I was nervous as **** but I kicked his ass. The doc had to come help him out.
Nerves are a good thing. Get that adrenaline pumping, but when it starts, try to keep calmComment

If you have these thoughts than don't fight. You must climb in as Thinking no one can beat me I'll beat the crap out of this guy. If your worried about the crowd don't look at them entering the ring nor pay attention to the crowd just look at your opponent until the bell rings. I had close to 100 amateur bouts I'm not some key board warrior like many on this site so I hope you take my adviceComment

I've been there man. Trust me the nervousness only lasts for the first round. If you've done enough sparring, then by the time the first round is done you will feel comfortable again.
I really hope you've done plenty of sparring though. You really have to be comfortable sparring before stepping up to an actual match. Your sparring sessions should tell you everything from where your conditioning's at to how well you're applying your technique in a live setting.Comment

Everybody has those thoughts and feelings, no matter how good they are. It's how you make those feelings effect you and how you make them work for you that counts.
During the weeks leading towards bouts I had the same questions rolling through my young mind; what if.... what if.... what if.....
Bouncing alone in my corner, as the cornermen exit the ring, I still some times had those thoughts running through my mind while awaiting the opening bell. I would often chuckle about the carnage that I have involved myself in that is now just seconds away.
When the bell rings, say this to yourself http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=geDCtBQeN8c and then come out with vengeance and make it happen.
You have trained and done what you were supposed to have done in preparation for this bout, now just go out and make it happen.
:anecdotal story pure fiction as I've never once ever physically seen a real boxing ring before................... Rockin'

Oh.. when you are in deep.. one thing I would do is envision something worth fighting for that gives you strength. What it is depends upon you. Could be your folks, woman, children, the Lord, or something else. Whatever it is that helps define your core as a human being. Echo it through your mind if doubt strikes you.. it should reverberate like a great wind through a canyon. Tap into this focus for greater strength and fortitude. Good luck let us know how you do.Comment

Don't listen to ^^^^ this guy nervousness/fear is normal and I would argue necessary... Like other posters have said harness that fear get through the first minute or so of the round and you'll do fine. Nothing that hasn't happened in sparring is going to happen on fight night...If you have these thoughts than don't fight. You must climb in as Thinking no one can beat me I'll beat the crap out of this guy.
