      Super-mod here.

That's the most ridiculous "argument" I've ever heard. This thread is crossing no lines regarding what is permissible on the boards. It's not racial. It's not nationalistic. It's not trolling. And it's not spam.

If you don't like discussing the topic then just get the **** out of the thread.

While you're at it, take your bull**** fanboy accusations with you regarding how we do our jobs.

They're coming in upright - to box. An MMA fighter is crouched coming low to take the legs.

A boxer is better to learn how to defend a takedown but it's a steep learning curve against the best pros.

She mentioned Floyd. And Canelo will be a big fight but the simple mention of Floyd will get the masses talking

Love him or hate him Floyd is boxing

My point is athletic superiority gos a long ways. I'm not saying I can kick everyones ass. A lot of people out there would probably destroy me, and destroy me with ease. But the average guy would do nothing to me with or without 6 months of training. I would rag doll them with little effort.

People shoot hoops everyday and still can't make most shots. Thousands of high school wrestlers in the US never even make it to state districts after years of training.

Training something doesn't make you good or an athlete. Nor does it make you tough. Some people have it and some don't. I have it because I'm a highly coordinated athlete. The averge guy isn't, and 6 months of training won't change that.

            And that's just clinching.

She'd shoot for his legs and score a takedown before he even knew what was going on. As a boxer, you have zero defense against that. You can't even punch the person shooting in on you because they shoot so low that there's nothing to hit.

The only defense against a double-leg takedown is a sprawl, which professional boxers have no idea how to execute.
UFC cage is huge, and if you think he would fight as if he were in a boxing match, then I no longer have anything to say to you. She would never get close to him.

Moreover, the responses thus far indicate an unhealthy combination of hatred for women (particularly athletes) and male insecurity - Which is quite normal for the 13-18 year old crowd that makes up the vast majority of NSB's awful contributors.
At the risk of sounding like Rockin, I don't think fighting in the streets in remotely the same. I train MMA fighters every week, some really bad ass dudes, that me as a former boxer, would not fight for 1 million dollars.

They will literally kill me with their hands, and there's nothing I can do about it. When I grappled with that Ju-jitsu expert, I felt like a child after I gassed.

I could do nothing, I was helpless. I understand that feeling because when "street tough guys" have put on gloves with me in the ring, I have made them feel the same way.

There's an art to fighting, and this woman (hate her or love her) is a master at it. She is a gold medal winner in Judo. Her job is to fight, and not just with her hands. She is skilled in doing it all.

I don't think Floyd would have a chance to be honest. She wouldn't even allow him to punch her, she would crawl towards him, grab his leg and fight is done.

Didn't we learn anything with the James Toney vs Randy Couture fight? I love boxing too but *** fighting an mma guy, *** that ****.

The bolded is an incredibly ****** statement, but I'm glad that this ends our conversation.

Of course he'd fight her like it was a boxing match, you delusional twat. It's the only way he knows how to fight.

He's been fighting like a boxer for 34 years (since he was 3), but all of a sudden he's just going to enter the cage and know how to do MMA?

Boxers beat MMA fighters easily under boxing rules, and MMA guys beat boxers easily under MMA rules.

I thought this was a well accepted fact when this entire infantile "MMA vs BOXING!" debate broke out 5 years ago?
