Comments Thread For: John Molina Says Broner News New to Him, Wants the Bout

Former lightweight title challenger John Molina Jr. spoke with BoxingScene.com on March 4.

BoxingScene.com: There’s an article up on FightHype saying that a fight between you and Adrien Broner is being consider for the co-feature slot on the Floyd Mayweather-Marcos Maidana pay-per-view. What do you know about this?

Molina: “I know it’s the first I’ve heard it. Of course, it’s a good thing to be noted. You know, me and Adrien Broner both have the same manager, which is Al Haymon. If that’s the fight they want, that’s the fight I’m willing to take. I would love to fight Adrien Broner.” [Click Here To Read More]

This wouldn't be a bad fight at 140.

Broner said after the maidana rematch he'll go back down to 140. Since the fight is not happening, why not make the Molina clash. But why not peterson-Broner clash and get broner a title, but I'll gladly take the Molina fight as a fan. As much as I wanna see broner-Khan, it doesn't make sense for broner if he's really goin back down to 140 and Khan is looking to move up

Is this Molina the same one that lost every second of ten rounds before KOing Mickey Bey in the last :45?

Wow, how sad. Broner vs Molina who got destroyed by Antonio Demarco in 1 round whom Broner battered in 8 rounds. This is the year of top notch fighters ducking opponents. Canelo ducks Lara to fight Lara's TKO victim Angulo. Marquez avoids Prov' to fight his TKO victim in Alvarado, and now this (if true).

Provodnikov is fighting DeMarco. Have you been critical of Provo for that?

Weak fight! Molina is levels below Maidana.

What other viable options are there? He was rejected by Marquez. Will make for a descent scrap. Plus he's still hasn't reached the level of Canelo, Marquez, Broner just yet.
