  • Comments Thread For: Marco Huck vs. Mirko Langhetti Set For 3/29 In Berlin

Every once in a while, there comes some good from having multiple titlists in a weight class. Case in point—the show will go on in Berlin on March 29, only with a different cruiserweight champ than the one that was previously advertised.

Marco Huck has answered the call to top the bill at the Velodrome in Berlin, as he will attempt his 13th title defense versus unbeaten Mirko Larghetti. The bout comes on the heels of lineal cruiserweight king Yoan Pablo Hernandez being forced to withdraw from a planned title defense versus Pawel Kolodjiez due to injury, with their title fight originally scheduled to headline.

Huck (37-2-1, 26KO) is coming off of a 6th round knockout of Firat Arslan in their rematch just six weeks ago, and was mentally checked out from boxing for the moment when he received the request for a quick turnaround.

"I was on holidays in Dubai when I was asked about the possibility to fill in for my teammate Hernandez," Huck said of accepting the fight. [Click Here To Read More]

Mis-match fight for Huck. I guess padding his record with a bull****e defense is important to him before he moves to heavyweight.

        It's a better fight than Quillan-Konecny.

At least Langhetti is a natural cruiserweight, in his prime and undefeated.

Who gives a shit? He's only fighting on the card because Hernandez had to pull out. I don't see a problem with taking a fight like this on less than a month's notice.
