there is no way some1 gets an ass-whooping that bad in the early rounds and comes back to win the fight without a KO or a KD.
oscar was robbed.
"look at jerry roth's scorecard. the first four rounds, he has trinidad winning 3 of those 4 rounds. that is perposturous." -bob arum.
i totally agree with arum on this.
Excellent Arum quote there, Evil. It was a fight that Oscar dominated for 8 rounds. It was his fault that there was room for controversy, in that he didn't fight the last 4 rounds. Still, there's no excuse for poor judges. Roth has done this several times, as have Chuck Giampa, Julie Lederman, and a handful of other judges. De la Hoya should've won this fight, and the second Mosley fight. However, he did, IMO, lose the first Mosley fight, and should've lost the Sturm fight.
i think dela hoya definatly got robbed that fight, after 10 rounds he won AT LEAST 7 ROUNDS. trinidad had to at least get a knock down to try and even up the fight, it was a masterclass performance for dela hoya up until round 10. and i dont even blame DLH for running away in the last 3-4 rounds, he done EXACTLY what his corner men told him to do, thats a sign that DLH was disciplined and he listened to his corner, if his corner told him to continue to fight the way he was doing then i would have questioned him and blamed him for the loss, but you gotta look at his corner/trainer who told him to run in the last 4 rounds, there to blame not DLH.
Any boxing expert will tell you that De La Hoya had the fight won by the 9th and i believe he was robbed but thats what happens when you dont try finishing your opponent
