Comments Thread For: Canelo, Angulo Have Different Versions of Mexico Incident

Junior middleweight rivals Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-1-1, 30KOs) and Alfredo "Perro" Angulo (22-3, 18KOs) are not on the same page regarding an incident which took place several years ago in Mexico.

According to Canelo and his co-trainer/manager Eddy Reynoso, Angulo showed up at a card in Mexico where Canelo was the headliner. After the match, Canelo's team members claim that security had to be involved because Angulo attempted to go after Canelo.

PR move or or not Canelo sounds weak in both character and ability to discern situations.

                  Real Mexicans?

Real Mexicans, huh? Real Mexicans bring it and Floyd runs? Sir, go back to watching your favorite sport of jumping jacks. You know nothing about boxing. It has been since 1997 when a Mexican was crowned p4p and that was Oscar. Chavez was a real Mexican and he had his a** handed to him twice by Frankie Randall and once by Pernell Whitaker. The fact of the matter is that you all but crowned Canelo the Messiah of Mexico and Floyd embarrassed him in every round. Real Mexicans? LOL By the way, El Perro was beaten to within an inch of his life by James Kirkland and this was a brutal beating. There are no real Mexicans in the top 5, so where are these mythical Mexicans?

This happened way before they were every signed to fight. It happened not long after Canelo won his first title from Hatton.
