Chaves is must see TV. He is not as talented as his father (not even close) but his fights are compelling and him in general is a pleasure to watch. He just doesn't give a crap but he's still doing pretty well for himself.

He should do well in that division but he should get roach back if he can and be that more aggressive body puncher in his fight with Vera he won big and all but I felt he could've fought a little harder it seems to me a couple of years ago he was a bigger puncher and most of all more disciplined.

Froch would be an easy win for Chavez

Lol... GGG never talks anyway. The little snippets you see are from reporters trying to egg him on. It's Sanchez doing the talking. But yeah, his father situation is much more important right now. Anybody asking him to respond to Chavez right away is a bit delusional to say the least.

In for a big surprise. Froch still operates at a higher level than Jr.

Froch v Chavez would be lots of fun. I vote for that fight, especially if Froch beats Groves (which I have doubts about). I think Froch v Chavez would be steady back and forth action. I feel that JCCJr has better mechanics though and would land cleaner to eventually KO or TKO Carl. Froch doesn't have anything that is going to surprise Jr at this point if Jr shows up in shape.

Maybe so but whats Chavez' best win, Zbik? He got outlanded 2-1 and had to depend on generous judging. More recently needed 2 tries to decision Vera. Froch is way tougher than anyone hes beat, and mostly struggled with

You're right. On paper, giving credit to what each of them has done thus far in their careers, one would probably lean toward Froch, but things change quickly in this sport. Froch has shown himself to be far more disciplined and focused than Jr, but I think, in this particular match-up, at this particular time, Jr is the smarter bet. He has more natural talent than Froch. I don't think there is much question about that. He has the skills to handle an aging Cobra, the physical size, power and body attack to do well on the inside and a grade-A beard to handle all but the cleanest shots that Froch could land. I think it is a great match-up, but I just see Chavez leaving the ring, either by decision or by KO, as the winner.
