Comments Thread For: Pavlik Guilty of Disorderly Conduct in Taxi Fare Case

Former middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik pleaded guilty late last week to one count of disorderly conduct in a case stemming from a September incident. Pavlik had allegedly refused to pay a taxi driver $25 home after a ride home from an Ohio bar, according to the Youngstown (Ohio) Vindicator.

He had been facing one count of theft of less than $1,000.

    Pavlik was fined $300.

Kelly needs a mandatory 90 day stint in a lockdown treatment center - he is living in a constant spiral of mania and dis-function that only a court ordered exile can break.
He has talent and he's still so young. He needs some healthy isolation that can give him a chance to reflect on his past, and what he wants to do with the rest of his life.
Take the wife and kids, leave Youngstown forever, and get your career back.

Impossible to say what he needs...if someone ain't ready nothing is gonna work.

If Kell is ready..well, I'd hope he'd find a way himself, but that ain't so easy either - in that case an enforced program might help.

Yeah I think he would be better off but he has to do that and stick with just pot. Can't start sniffing coke and **** like that.

Some people just can't handle the big time.

It's a shame because at one point, Pavlik was a must see fighter.

Damn, my man the Ghost has been acting too much like another KP lately -- Kenny Powers, that is. I wish Kelly would get his **** together and make a comeback while he is still young enough cuz I've always wanted to see him fight Chavez Jr. That would be a helluva an all action fight with two heavy handed mofos with good beards.

He had a seizure last time he went to court. What happened with that?
