While the glamour divisions of boxing tend to be at the higher weights, there’s plenty going on with the smaller fighters of the sport who don’t always get the recognition they deserve. Flyweight Giovani Segura is the epitome of a Mexican warrior as his come forward style and high volume punching makes him one of the most exciting fighters in the lower weight classes.

Segura is currently training for a fight on April 5th which Boxingscene learned will serve as a stay busy fight for a Flyweight showdown in the summer against current WBA and WBO Flyweight champion Juan Francisco “El Gallo” Estrada.

Great fight. But IMO Estrada is too young and too good be his inactive. He should be fighting at least three or four times a year

This is going to be a great fight. I expect some serious fireworks. Segura is such a tough pressure fighter but Estrada is able to do it all. I can't wait!

Estrada has been out of the ring for a while. By July, he'll be out of the ring for a year smh.
