Comments Thread For: Marco Huck Back on March 29th, Hernandez Withdraws

Marco Huck returns to action after his brilliant victory over Firat Arslan. On the 29th of March, "Captain" Huck will defend his WBO cruiserweight title in Berlin's Velodrome for the 13th time. With a victory, he would break the previous record of British boxer Johnny Nelson (WBO titlist from 1999-2006).

Huck is taking over the date for his teammate, Yoan Pablo Hernandez, who was scheduled to defend his IBF cruiserweight title against Poland's Pawel Kolodziej. Hernandez is still suffering from a gastritis (stomach lining infection) issue and can not train in the coming weeks.

Kolodziej is rank 6 by WBO, they might just pass him to Huck.

Will Sauerland ever match Huck and Hernandez (when healthy) in the future? Seems like there is no noise being made for this match-up.

That would be big business but they're trained by Wegner so not sure how much of a possibility that is.

Not many big money fights in the CW division but Hernandez/Huck would be it. Not sure about the logistics but it would be nice to see.

What about Huck versus the guy who Cleverley withdrawed against? I'd love to see that

Huck wants to fight at HW. He's been eager since the Povetkin semi-robbery. He'll probably have a weak opponent for this record breaking defense and then move to HW.
